بعد حادث الاصطدام بين الدرك وأهالي مجدل زون ثأراً لمقتل عباس حسن الحاج، قامت القوى الامنية بحملة تفتيش لبيوت قرية مجدل زون لمصادرة السلاح والتي لم تسفر عن اي نتيجة، وقد قبضت على كل من حبيب وحسن دريب، عبد الله هاشم ، أحمد الفقيه ، زهرة علي ، خدوج علي ، الحاسة مياسة، وليلى شحيمي ... وقد بلغ عدد الموقوفين 35 شخصا، أُخلي سبيل 15 منهم لعدم توافر الأدلة ضدهم.
