جاء في جريدة الزمان 1950
سطت عصابة مسلحة مكوّنة من 7 اشخاص يحملون البنادق والمسدسات على مزرعة للنائب يوسف بك الزين في الميذنة في خراج كفرمان وسلبوا بالجبر المزارعين والرعاة عددا من الاغنام و 12 رأس بقر.
ثم فروا بالمسلوبات وسط عاصفة من الرصاص.
وتضاربت الاراء حول الحادثة، فبعضهم قال ان اللصوص هم جنود إسـرائيليون توغلوا حتى وصلوا لكفرمان، والبعض قال ان الحادث محلي يُقصد به الاضرار بالنائب الزين...

As published in Al-Zaman newspaper (1950):
"An armed gang consisting of seven individuals carrying rifles and pistols raided a farm belonging to MP Youssef Bey El-Zein in the town of Kfarreman (South Lebanon), robbing the farmers of a number of sheep and 12 head of cattle.
The perpetrators then fled while firing a heavy barrage of gunfire.
Some claim the thieves were Israeli soldiers who infiltrated as far as Kfarreman, while others suggest it was a local incident intended by his opponents to harm MP El-Zein..."
